Keynote Speaker 2019

Guy Sayles

Asst. Prof. Guy Sayles, is a teacher, writer, and consultant and has been teaching at MHU since Fall 2015. He has a BA in History from Georgia Southern University (Magna Cum Laude), where he was a first-generation college student, an M.Div. from Southern Seminary, where he was recognized as a Luther Rice Scholar, and a Doctor of Ministry from the Candler School of Theology of Emory university (concentrations in Ethics and Sociology of Religion). His areas of research are the intersections—confluences and conflicts–between religion(s) and culture(s) and the role of language—its possibilities and limits—in communication. He also serves as adjunct professor in the Divinity School at Gardner-Webb University and blogs regularly at FromTheIntersection.org
